Barcelona
A city in Europe that never sleeps and offers you all kinds of music! Spanish people eat breakfast at 12pm, have lunch at 4pm, dinner at 9pm and party until dawn! Remember to not go to a club before midnight, you won’t leave before 6am anyways. With music ranging from Latin, R&B and HipHop, to House and Techno, Barcelona has it all. Make sure you check out who’s playing, as music also varies in the same clubs. A little insider tip: If you come before 1am you usually don’t pay an entrance fee, otherwise it costs about €10-€25.
The Marula Café, offering Latin music, Funk, and Soul, is a popular club amongst locals! If you want the real 'Barcelona experience', check it out! It is located in the heart of the old town and is opened every day. The crowd is a little more mature compared to other clubs and you can wear whatever you want! Easy-peasy…
The Macarena club, located in the city centre, offers you the very best house and techno music every Friday and Saturday! If you like small, sweaty and loud places, this is the perfect club for you! They have one of the best sound-systems in the city and only the best DJ’s perform here. People visit it for the music, not for flirting and hooking up ;-)
The Razzmatazz club is located in a huge warehouse in Poble Nou (5km from city centre) and has 5 different floors for all types of music. If you cannot decide what music you’re into, go to Razzmatazz and get a bit of everything! Rock - Pop - R&B - Techno - Disco, and much more. Be aware of long queues and expect trainers, t-shirts, and jeans on the dancefloor! You better leave your heels at home.
Visit the Sala Apolo for a crazy night on Friday or Saturday! Genres can range from HipHop and Dub Step to Techno. On Mondays and Tuesdays the club usually has Rock'n'Roll events. Expect a young and hip crowd!

What to pack
As the dress code is mostly casual, you don't necessarily need to bring high heels and fancy dresses. Take your favorite sneakers, pants and a nice shirt that you feel comfortable in, but doesn't make you look like you haven't showered for days. Don't forget a party backpack or a not too fancy handbag. Take your passport, enough money and your phone to be able to capture the night with pictures!
