Berlin
What to say about Berlin - multicultural, diverse, free thinking, as well as historically and politically important. Berlin captures nearly everything as a world city of culture, politics, media and science with its approximately 3.6 million inhabitants.
The Field Station Berlin Teufelsberg (Devil's Mountain) used to be a NSA spy station. Devil's Mountain is made out of rubble and was a former Nazi college, which couldn't be destroyed after World War II. It's definitely worth visiting, as you can climb on top of the building and get a stunning view!
Make sure to visit the Flea Market at the Mauerpark (Wall Park) on Sunday! They offer clothes, jewelry, vintage bags and, if the weather is good, you can prove your karaoke skills by participating in the Bearpit Karaoke Show on Sunday afternoon.
The Insel der Jugend (Island of Youth), which is located a bit outside of the city centre, is an experimental ground for creative people. It offers a great variety of cultural events throughout the year for all ages!
The Holzmarkt (Wooden Market), located right next to the former Katerholzig, which was a well known party wonderland, is a nice place for relaxation and experiencing Berlin's culture. They offer great food, music and drinks in a creative atmosphere. A great insider tip! Make sure you get there early, it closes at 10pm.

What to pack
Be aware, you and your travel friends will walk a lot! Take sneakers and clothes you feel comfortable in. It really doesn't matter what you're wearing, Berlin has seen it all! People here are very open to fashion and wear clothes you did not know they were actual clothes. It can get very warm in the summer and very cold in the winter. Make sure you check the weather before you visit!
